Oh, no, I forgot! I went to bring Ron his comic books right after dinner, and it completely slipped my mind. I'm really sorry.

Oh, well, if you were visiting your roommate in the Hospital Wing, I can hardly begrudge that!

Professor Sprout showed me yours. They're really coming along nicely. You do have a real knack, you know. Yours look they're two or three weeks older than mine.

It's because of my Gran, I guess. She has plants all through the house, and I grew up taking care of them. Not just African violets, but stuff like Wooly Knollwort, and Baby Cauldrons and Spitting Shebasus. The Shebasus is especially temperamental. If you can grow that, you can grow anything.

I've never even heard of Spitting Shebasus. What's it like?

Oh, there are all sorts of different varieties, with different coloured foliage. My Gran likes the pink and purple varities, cause she says they look nice next to the violets.

You always have to keep something waterproof under them, to protect your furniture. Like I said, they spit. Mostly in the late afternoons, especially if they're pretty young. When they're three years or older, they don't so much spit as sort of ooze.
