Today was the day originally planned for the ceremony to dedicate the garden. I'm rather relieved it's been put off--not the least because it's raining cats and dogs this afternoon! We haven't had time to really make the garden look the way it should, but we will!

I'm sure the NEWTs students would prefer to be revising this afternoon anyway, since those exams start tomorrow. Good luck to all of you who'll be taking those! And think of us when the OWLs students' agony begins the following week.

Thank goodness Professor Sprout put her foot down and put off the ceremony. It would have been dead embarrassing. Nothing but a bunch of bare sticks in the ground.

At least, if we ever do have a ceremony, Her Pinkness won't be up there simpering in front of everyone.

Merlin, I'm glad she's gone.

I'm sorry about yesterday, though.

I know you'd been looking forward to it for ages.

Yeah.

I mean, I know we just have a little longer to wait.

It's just hard because I thought we didn't have to wait any more. At all.

And I was really really looking forward to being able to write Mum and Dad securely, whenever we liked.

Now that She's not watching the post, I'll bet you could send them an owl using pig. I know it's not the same, but Mum would like it.

And it was good to see dad again.

And just think. I bet we'll get to spend loads more time with them over hols.

They still have to be careful about making sure that the Ministry has no idea that we're in contact with them. So we can't spend TOO much time with them.

But still, I hope...I hope that if we're in the Order, we might actually get to see where they live. Where their sanctuary is.

Wouldn't that be something? I have to admit, I'm really hoping for that this summer.

It would, yes.

We could ask them to spend the week there instead of camping.

That would be brilliant.

I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe it's selfish, but I feel like we're gonna get to know them better now, yeah? Just the little extra bit we've had, the classes we took over the hols, working with Mum and Dad, it made me want more.

I know exactly what you mean! We've seen loads of dad these last few weeks, and I miss him already.

And I was really looking forward to seeing mum again too.

And like Ron said, when he asked dad about going back and reading old things, we'd be able to do that too.
