Like I said, I'll look through our camping stuff when I get home and see if I can figure out more stuff for the knapsack for Terry. But I had another idea, so I'm making this message private so Terry won't see it.
The twins and Lee and I were talking about it, late at night in the Common Room after everyone else was in bed. All of us think that it's gonna take a miracle for him to get out of there and have a chance of going for that knapsack. Lee said that the only way he could picture it was if Amycus Carrow is dead.
And then George said, real grim-like, that if Carrow's dead it'll be because Terry killed him, because the git's too evil to be considerate enough to die on his own. If Carrow isn't dead, you'd better believe that he'll be turning over every rock in Lincoln to get Terry back so he can kill him himself. And if he is dead, his sister will do the same thing.
Which means if Terry gets away, he's probably gonna be in more trouble than any of us can imagine. I don't know what the penalties are for a muggleborn servant who's trying to escape from his master, but I'll bet they're awful. From some things Hermione's said, I'd guess he may bolt somewhere that he figures none of us can find him, because he won't want to get any of us in trouble. He'll be scared out of his mind.
So I thought it might be a good thing if we put notes in the knapsack for him. At least some of us. Not signing our names or anything, but maybe just our initials. So we can tell him...well, I don't know quite how to put it. That no matter what he had to do to get there, it'll be all right. And to be sure to send word that he's managed to escape, and we'll do everything we can to help him.
I'll talk to the guys here in Gryffindor about it, and maybe you can mention to the others, too. Then we can give you notes, and you can stuff them in a pocket of the knapsack or something. Sound good?
