I don't think your parents, what little I know of them, could have been involved with this DogStar business. All those posts Sirius made saying that he doesn't support them, what? And he's friends with your parents, isn't he? So, horrible as this is, I hope they're safe.
We were so scared. We even wondered whether we should have activated our portkeys. But we knew we could have never come back if we did, and we'd have no idea where we were going. Especially if Mum and Dad had been arrested. I mean...I guess I figure they'd have planned it so we wouldn't have landed in the MLE's arms. But we had no idea.
You did just the right thing, Neville, and I think that you should wait for me to say if you possibly can, I mean, if you aren't in immediate danger, because the portkeys will work even if you're actually WITH the MLE, won't they? So you could wait till they actually came for you and then go, couldn't you?
I'm glad we did the right thing. I wouldn't want to make things worse. And yeah, I want to stay at Hogwarts.

I know we have to...to show everyone we're unconcerned. Mu Gran explained that. No matter what people say, we have to put on a show that we think that my parents are nothing but the lowest scum and blood traitors and all. Usually I can do it. Well, usually I manage it by just keeping my mouth shut and not saying anything.
I just discovered today it's a LOT harder to do if you're really afraid. And you don't know what's going on.
Dinner will be easier. I can pretend better as long as I know they're safe. So thank you for that.
I'm so glad we've got this lock. So you can use it to get me word through the journals if we need it. If we ever have a day like this again.
